- The Official SOLT Website
- SOLT Sisters' Website
- Sr. Miriam James, SOLT - Blog
- The Disciples of Jesus and Mary Website - Under the direction of Fr. Santan Pinto
OTHER GREAT WEBSITES:
- The Vatican website
- Catholic News Agency - A great source of up-to-date news regarding the Catholic Church. CNA began in 2004 and was "founded in continued response to Pope John Paul II's call for a 'New Evangelization'", and is now one of the fastest growing news services reporting on Catholic issues. Available in both English and Spanish.
- St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology - Dr. Scott Hahn's website. If you wish to learn more about the Bible and understand with greater clarity not only the Old and New Testaments, but how Scriptural our Catholic faith and life really is, then this is a great place to begin. I highly recommend any of Dr. Scott Hahn's books or talks (not only because I am a former student of his), but because after he has looked at the literal-historical sense of Scripture he is also able to communicate the deeper spiritual sense of the Bible with simplicity and clarity, and with a love which is both passionate and contagious.
- Catholic Answers - a wonderful site for learning more about the Catholic faith, and the Catholic viewpoint on contemporary issues - you name it, and you'll find the issue dealt with here. Along with solid explanations as to why we believe what we believe as Catholics, you will find countless articles dedicated to apologetics - i.e. responses and answers to common objections, misconceptions, and accusations frequently levied against Catholics and the Church. The articles are well written and researched and are steeped in both the Scriptures and the Fathers of the Church.
- Magis Center of Reason and Faith - Fr. Robert Spitzer, SJ, is a world-renowned speaker, known for his brilliance in combining solid philosophical principles with practical wisdom in the fields of spirituality, ethics and leadership, and astrophysics. He has recently been able to dedicate himself full-time to developing this project which seeks "to explain the consistency between science and faith in contemporary astrophysics." There are several projects under the umbrella of the Center (e.g. developing a task force of international physicists to respond to atheism in the media; a high school curriculum; and a web-based college course in Science, Philosophy, and God). Anything coming from Fr. Spitzer is highly recommended.
- The Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership - another project inspired by Fr. Robert Spitzer. This Center was created to address the present void in the area of ethics and leadership education in western society. The materials offered are for both personal education and growth in ethics and leadership and also organizational growth and success. This is a fantastic starting point for finding resources to bring solid ethical principles to the business world.
- The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops - this is the homepage for the USCCB. You can find Church news, and innumerable resources and Church documents here. There is also a handy section on the website for the review of current movies in theaters and upcoming television programs. When today's "PG-13" was yesterday's "R", it is quite useful to scroll to the bottom of each review and read in detail why a film has been rated the way it has before you decide to invest time and money in a movie.
